Theodor König on tap, super delicious food and a nice waitress / boss :)
Extremely friendly hostess, although there was no children's menu and no veggie dishes on the menu, but there was an "extra sausage" for everyone. Corona-compliant hygiene concept, we had a nice evening with delicious food.
Small selection of dishes, we ate the roast pork and the Kassler, quality mediocre, portions relatively small, prices quite expensive, service quite friendly.
Great food - service very nice - unfortunately you can only pay with cash
Great food, especially after a few days of schnitzel and fries, this is a true change from authentic German dishes. Friendly chef and service and a nice clean environment, all for a fair price. Highly recommended.
Highly recommended for a stay in Monschau. Great typical food and great service at super fair prices.
Rude staff
Super nice chef / owner. The only place where they put in a little effort for 8 people. Authentic dishes, no highlights, but delicious food.
The two of us were here unannounced on Sunday lunch. We got a table without any problems. The food (sauerbraten and goulash) was very good. The meat was nice and tender and the side dishes were spot on. The prices are reasonable. The boss did the rest to have a nice stay. We would love to come back.
This was the most authentic German experience I never thought I needed. It was comforting, homey and delicious. They dont have many items on the menu, but everything they have is freshly made. Service is helpful and welcoming. It's definitely my number one in Monschau.
Really tradition, very good German cuisine
Good ambience, nice service and good food
Rhenish cuisine at its finest. Not eaten so well in a long time. The Cologne breweries cannot keep up with that. The Rhenish sauerbraten was a dream. The ambience is between modern and rustic. The service is perfect (friendly, competent and fast) place-to-be in Monschau.
Great, pleasant hosts who are very friendly and exemplary in implementing the Corona protective measures and taking them seriously. Fair prices. Only, the menu should be supplemented with a summer dish. For example, homemade aspic, pan or fried potatoes, side salad.
The food was great. A taste that is known from home and painfully measured. The service is prompt and the service is very nice and attentive. Even if the menu is small and the restaurant is a 5-minute walk from the town center, I highly recommend it. Happy again on the next vacation!
Super nice service and a good price / performance ratio. I really enjoyed the regional cuisine with a focus on quality and freshness. Also not as crowded as in the town center! My conclusion : Highly recommended 👨🍳👨🍳👨🍳👨🍳👨🍳
Very good German cuisine with very friendly staff, would love to come back
We had to wait over 1:30 hours for our food. Restaurant doesn't seem organized. The meat, potatoes and pasta was ok but unfortunately the sauce was judged by the taste from the can. Price-performance ratio not appropriate.
Something special in a place where all other restaurants only serve almost the same cuisine. Delicious home cooking. If someone likes the knuckle crispy, it will be considered. However, it will also become drier. Very nice service.
Seldom eaten such a delicious Sauerbraten 😍 😍 In addition in such a quaint restaurant. 😊 You can tell that you still cook here according to traditional recipes. 👌👍 Also a very warm and attentive landlady.
Very cozy place with very nice hosts. Small menu with delicious home-style cooking. The things you can't even conjure up on your plate in 20 minutes at home. I could not eat anything today, but I still have the tempting scent of sour roast in my nose. I will definitely test it on my next visit.
For when you don't want a schnitzel for once. Delicious traditional cuisine
Very friendly owner. Great lean roast with pointed sauce and unusual side dishes. Everything very clean and well-kept. High quality equipment, cozy and warm. Gladly again. It was a very nice evening.
Good german food. Locally inspired. Good beer! Ask for the local senf and combine it with kassler!
This is a relatively new place in Monschau and it's just outside the city centre. We loved being there from the moment we arrived. The staff are super friendly and helped us with planning our touristy activities the next day. The atmosphere is warm, cosy and relaxing. Both our dishes were delicious. I had a goulash with plums in red wine sauce. I am happy to leave this review and look forward to again coming soon.
